At First Church we are committed to impactful lifelong education and community events that
help us grow closer to God and one another. Be sure to check the events page for upcoming groups and one time community events.
Eat, Pray, Learn takes place on the third Wednesday of the month, October-May. It’s an evening of multigenerational learning, worship, food, and fellowship. The topic changes every month, but is always focused on adult spiritual development. Free childcare is provided.
Pub Theology is led by one of our pastors and brings adults of all ages together for food, drinks, and discussion about topics that matter. Come grab a beer (or a water, we don’t judge) and join us to talk about church related issues in the 21st century. All are welcome. Check the events page for upcoming dates.
Seasonal Bible Studies are held during Advent and Lent. This is a great way to participate in deep engagement with the Bible with guidance from our pastors while also growing in community with other members of the church. Keep an eye out on Facebook or the events page for upcoming Bible Studies.
Meditation with Andy Linscott happens each morning at 8am. Interested in sitting in meditation with a committed group of daily meditators? Contact the church office for a Zoom invitation.
Book Group meets every week after worship to discuss books they are reading together. Books are chosen to stimulate conversation about the church, view of the world and God, one’s spiritual journey, or current events. No registration is required.
Watercolor with Charlie is a free, all skill level, water color class which meets every Monday morning at 9am. The diverse skill level group is led by professional painter and all around good guy, Charlie Gray.
Voyagers brings together older adults every other Thursday at 10am to talk about important things in our lives. We listen lots, share some. And laugh! We focus on life beyond work and raising a family. We are a warm, welcoming, caring bunch who look forward to being together.
Men’s Breakfast meets over good food on the last Saturday of the month from 8-10am. Men of all ages are invited to join together for prayer, laughs, support and maybe a little too much breakfast. Beginning in September 2021. Contact Pastor Zach for more information.
Retreats are held throughout the year. We have women’s, adult, and church wide retreats which provide opportunities for connecting with each other on a deep level in a relaxed atmosphere to reconnect with God and grow spiritually. Keep an eye out on Facebook and the events page for retreat announcements.
