Become a climate change communicator

Are you stymied by how difficult it is to have discussions about climate change? Do you feel hopeless in your inability to do something meaningful about it?

If you agree with these sentiments, you are not alone, but now First Church in Sterling is offering an opportunity to change inaction to action and silence into dialog.

The Outreach Team is launching an initiative, named the Climate Change Dialog, to help you communicate climate change with church members, friends and acquaintances.

We will begin with reading and discussing Katharine Hayhoe’s recent book, “Saving Us. A climate scientist’s case for hope and healing in a divided world.”

Her book covers the factors that shape our views on climate change, factual info about climate change, and the need for dialog and finding common ground before it is too late.

We will read and discuss the book over five evening meetings held every other week, beginning the week of March 7th. If you are interested in joining, please let us know by clicking the Signup button and completing the short form.
